Fall in Winnipeg

Winnipeg is noted for being very cold. I think many people think that we live in igloos with no electricity or at the very least, we are not as cosmopolitan as big cities.  So let me assure that really is very cold in the winter - getting down to -40C/F but we also have very hot days - as hot as it gets in the tropics (35C).

We are a big enough city with a charming small town feel.  We play cricket equally as well as in the big city and we pride ourselves in our abundance of green space.  The two pics below were taken in Assiniboine Park last weekend (Oct 1).  It's amazing to see a green cricket field juxtaposed among really tall, stately old trees.  That's why Winnipegers love living here.
